My Point of View on "Speaking Up"

As I got home about half and hour ago, I told my sister about my blog, and told her that she should "check it out". She told me, "please don't write anything that will put you in prison." I thought about it, and as a result of that thinking about, I had another thought which leads me to post yet another post, so soon after my last one.

So what if I get thrown to prison. I will always only try to write the truth. If i get thrown to prison, for saying something as it is, then I'd gladly go, they don't even need to put the cuffs on me. I'd walk by myself into the police car and smile all the way to prison, because if I was prosecuted for something that I say, it will only make my words the TRUTH! For in this country like so many other country, Truth is punished, truth gets thrown to jail, truth get shot down, ASSASSINATED! Truth gets crucify, and be told that it's a lie. The truth be buried deep down in the ground.

Why? It's not because there's something wrong with the truth, it's because they can't handle the truth. That's right ladies and gentlemen. The truth is worth nothing to them. You can't make money by selling truth, because the real truth is expensive, not for a mountain of gold you can buy. They can't control truth, i bet they don't even know the meaning of the words truth. Truth in the dictionary is defined as 1. The actual state of a matter. 2. Conformity with fact or reality. 3. A verified or indisputable fact.

That's the real truth. They've been telling you lies because they do not like the actual state of the matter so they changed it. They do not have conformity with the fact or reality, so they made their OWN reality. They DO NOT AGREE with the indisputable fact, so they gave you fiction.

Who are "they"? They are the collective sum of liars. The ones who want riches only for themselves. The ones who made you believe in lies. The raper of your mind. They feed you rubbish till no one cares about the truth, that's who they are, and they've only succeed so far, because no one spoke up. No one spoke up when they saw the truth, and no one spoke up when they know their lies. It's not because you fear them, it's because you when you saw it, and you look around you, and no one spoke up either.

I tell you now my friends, ever since you were born, ever since we were born, all they told us was lies. I've lived for 25 years and for 25 years I've been dooped, I've been tricked, been lied to, bamboozled, been flimflamed, been took! It's time to wake up now guys. I urged you men of the world wake up and see these lies they've been feeding us and SPEAK UP! Speak what's on your mind. Tell them what it is.

Speak your Mind

Created by xoxoMusicLover95xoxo on Wednesday, August 19, 2009
Speak your mind
little girl
Never hold back
Let them know
what you believe
Let them know
what you aim to achieve
that you're not really here to please

Speak your mind
young lady
It can get you places
It can pick you up
or knock you down
Get you into trouble
or get you praised

Don't hold back
world
Let them know
what you love
and hate
what makes you laugh
and cry
Let them know you're not
really aiming to please
And that you take what they say into consideration
And that you love that adoration
that some give
when you
Speak your mind
As I end this post, I thought, even if you love someone speak up and tell them, who knows what may happen. Speak your mind, and fear no mortal consequences, for God (in my case Allah SWT) is immortal, and there is nothing that they could do to you without His consent.

My Point of View about Modern Human Society in Malaysia
Part 1.1 : Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll
(If you get mad while reading this, it only means that I'm right)

I think it is sad really, that youngsters here in Malaysia are beginning to detach with our original identity. Most of us are beginning to mimic the westerners rather than, being true to our Asian culture.

It is not that I am trying to spoil the fun or anything like that, and I certainly do not want to offend anyone who might feel offended by this, but this the fact, true fact that is logical and thoroughly researched.

  1. Partying, clubbing and rave does not come or derived from Asian culture
  2. "Popping bottles in the ice" and getting drunk on weekends does not come from Malaysian culture.
  3. Drugs, E, weed, Fi, does not come from our Asian culture
  4. Free sex and sleeping around is not part of our culture
If you are a Malaysian, and you think otherwise, or disagree with me on this, then I am sorry to say, but you do not know who you are. You do not know where you come from. You are lost far from what you we're meant to be.

I understand where you're coming from. You need to lay back and let lose on the weekend, after a hard week's work and study, but there has got to be a better way to do that than this. I mean how bad could your week be if you permit yourself that much madness. Did you save your country? Did you demolish poverty? Did you discover unlimited energy? Rather than wasting money on this kinda things, waste it on something that brings a positive outcome.

I happen to know a lot of people here in the centre of Malaysia (the Klang Valley) that justify taking drugs as a way to search their soul, "soul searching" as they might call it. I say that is rubbish. How can you find your soul when the very thing you smoke, of swallow to find it, is the one that actually kills it? How can you find yourself when you can not even think straight? You can't, and long after years have come, you will still be searching for it, and found later that your soul is empty long gone, the moment you take your first drug.

There are some girls that I know, who lets loose, because of heartbreak, because of relationship problems. They could not handle the stress of it so, they turn to drugs and alcohol. To this i say every relationship has a problem, non is ever perfect. If you consult to drugs and alcohol every time a problem occurs, no matter how big, then you will be stuck to it forever, because forever relationships will have problems. Happily ever after does not exist in the real world, it is only in fairy-tales do you hear this, phrase "happily ever after". let me ask you, does the problem go away after the effects wears off, or does it hurt even more?

Drugs and alcohol does not solve problems. If it did, then we would be encourage to take it every time i have a problem, I would take it before my math test, I would take it when I go to work, I would take it when I have to pay for the bills. No! It does not solve your problems, the only problem it solves is the drug dealer's money problem. The only problem it solves is the alcohol's distributor's money problem. If it is anything it add to your problem. You wake up late with headache, and all kinds of aches throughout your body. You check your wallet and poof there's less money in your pocket, and you started thinking to yourself', "did I really spend that much money last night?" That's what it does ladies and gentlemen of Malaysia, it wakes you up with guilt in your heart. It makes you feel paranoid, it weakens you.

i dare you. I seriously dare you to take a video of yourself whilst under the influence of these vile things and watch it when you're sober. Then tell me if you liked what you see. Do it, and trust me, you will not. Really think about this, was all those nights out partying, getting drunk, getting high, was it all really worth it?

It's not like i never done it, I first did it when I was fifteen. It was 2002 and you know what i say to myself now? I say I was a complete MORON, to have done the things I did. Who ever you are, you are not you when you're under (the influence of alcohol & drugs). That is not you dancing, getting down in the club, that is not you kissing around with all the girls and boys in the club, THAT IS NOT YOU! That is the devil, the satan, al-syayaton! in your body.

Stop! Please stop! I am urging the youth of my countrymen. The males and the female, the Malays, the Chinese and Indians. All races of all ages on both sides of the gender!!! Don't listen to those rappers, those rockstars, these so-called "artist" from the west. They lives thousands of miles away, and what do they care of the effects that their message does to you, to my people. All they know when I rap sing, or spin songs and tunes about SEX,DRUGS & ALCOHOL, "I gets paid". They get paid for implanting this evil in our head, paid for ruining our lives. PAID!!!! for ruining my culture, and the culture of my people. The Government? They don't do SHIT!!! They bring them in to keep you happy, they bring them here to preform for you, but also to BLIND YOU!!!! From the truth they blind you,

Before I end this post, I'd like to share with you, a few poems. I don't know who wrote them, but whoever they are, I love them. I love them for telling the TRUTH! and for doing so, very beautifully.

Pills & Violence

© Kimmi Lewis
Popping pills in the morning,
Popping pills at night.
Cutting deep into my skin,
holding my blade tight.

Dressed up to look my best,
When I actually looked my worst.
I thought all this alcohol
would refresh my troublesome thirst.

I wanted kids when I was older,
I wanted good news to tell.
But Who Tells their children,
that they wanted to go to hell?

I had a lot of problems.
sexually abused and bashed.
Both my arms, wrists, and legs,
Had been both bruised and gashed.

I thought of myself,
As a strong Girl.
I wasn't strong at all..
This is what made my toes curl.

I had decided to stop,
And get my life on track.
Because I realized the life I wasted
I was never getting back.

So I stopped the hurting,
For once it was pretty easy.
I stopped looking like an easy target,
and I stopped dressing sleazy.

I'm a better person now.
And I'm turning 16.
I cant believe how young I was,
and how I was so keen.

All the drugs and the alcohol,
the cutting and pain.
Have all disappeared,
now I'm one step ahead in this game.

Dear Friend

Dear Friend,

I'm slowly losing hope, and my minds beginning to
race
looking around not knowing, how I got to this
place
I've taken so many chances, and I wasted so much
time
still writing this letter, as my words continue to
rhyme

I Thought drugs were a joke, don't be naive
they'll get you
they never get you that high, they only know how
to subdue
and to these delusional drugs, I'll probably lose
my life
I'm to immature to have children, too not caring
to be a wife

you may say I need help, that I just need some
medicine to get me by
But, your just not understanding, how much these
drugs want me to die
I know they'll get me soon, pretty soon I won't
even fight
trapped in the darkness, still haven't found the
light...

If these are my last words to you, I want them to
forever last
remembering all our memories, wishing I could
re-live the past
I no longer want to stay in the present, I wish it
was already done
just always know you may start the day with many,
but will end it with one

always keep an open mind in life, I had to learn
that on my own
and look beyond peoples words, there's many things
that are unshown
There are some people out to get you, and some
that just wait to die
some are out for money, and others live life just
to get high

I've meet all of these kind of people, but could
never be one
threw many pennies in a wishing well, but left the
outcome un-won
please hold on to your life and just don't ever
let it go
you can't understand now, but trust me, some day
you'll know...

And now I have to leave, I'm left with no other
choice
my words begin to disappear as I slowly lose my
voice
But remember me, please just remember me,
Finally my turn.....Soon I'll be Free

30 Inch Gauge

How were the shrooms? The Beer? The LSD?
I'll show you something more worthwhile than weed.
I can show you how to steal and lie.
Trust me, it's all you need to get by.
Why go to school? Don't turn another page!
I'm so much easier, and I come in a 30 inch gauge.
Heroin's my name, I've been known to destroy lives.
Takings out actors, teenagers, fathers, and wives.
People will leave you, that's just fine.
Follow me, you'll be all mine.
Try to get rid of me? What a joke.
Pretty soon you'll have a needle, looking for a vein to poke.
Need some love? That's gonna be hard to find.
But don't worry, cause I'll always be in the back of your mind...

The Origins of My Point of View

As the title of this blog might suggest, this is the post of which I tell you where I'm coming from, how it is it that i come to be, well me. The story of my life, so far.

My Country

I live in Kelana Jaya, a small town in the city of Petaling Jaya, which is located in the state of Selangor, just one of fourteen states that an be found in the country of Malaysia. For those of you (if you are foreign) who still do not know where it is, I would always explain, "Above Singapore, below Thailand, and in between Indonesia and the Filipino (Philippines). Sadly it is much easier that way. We are not as famous as the four mentioned countries (even though the fact is that they all come here). I love my country. Somehow there is something wrong about it (I'll explain that some other time).

I am a 'Malay'. The majority race in this country (hence Malaysia). We live along side the Chinese, who first came to live here as a diplomatic endeavor, between the Empire of China and The Malacca Sultanate back in the mid 15th century. We also live our lives with Indians brought from India by the British in around the mid 1800s, and Sikhs who are brought in as the British Imperial Guard he in 'Malay Land' (Tanah Melayu as it was called). Tanah Melayu claimed independence from the British (who lost us to the Japanese in World War 2, and regained us in 1945) and it was given to us on the 31st of August 1957, and together with Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak in Borneo, Malaysia was born on the 16th of September 1963 (though Singapore claimed independence and became a country of their own).

Even though the Malays is the majority in Malaysia, the Chinese seemed to be having the upper hand. Although many of us Malays would not want to admit this, but it is true. I don't blame the Chinese either, it was us Malays that let our guard down. More on that in some other post.

My Family

I was born, on the 7th of February 1987. i am the third child of one Anuar Bin Jaafar and Noor Ruzian Binti Shamsuddin. My dad is an honest man, very well educated in the old 'Malay College' schools (a school system set up by the Brits for chosen Malays). He was was an excellent student because his father, my late grand father was a school headmaster, in Kedah (a Northern state in Malaysia). He once told me that he was given a scholarship to study architecture in England, but he squandered away his scholarship money (your words dad, not mine), when he got there. So he took a job as an accountant assistant in one of the firms in London. One of the partner liked his workmanship and offered a private scholarship to do 'ICAEW'. He took it and never looked back.

In a way, he wanted me to become an accountant, because it's a "safety net". Should I fall later in life, I could always do my accountancy practice. The common thing about my father and I, is that we both had different dreams, then what we set out to do now. He may seem very harsh to me, very strict, but I know now, that is only because he loves me, and before he departs from this world, he would just like to see me make something of my life. I am trying, Allah SWT knows I am, but I don't feel happy about it, and still until now, I have no idea to tell him that this is not my dream.

My mother is a wonderful woman. She formally worked as an air-stewardess. She got her training from the MSA Academy (Malaysia-Singapore Airlines). When the two countries decided to have their own airline, my mom, was placed as the first ever batch of Malaysian stewardess which they call 'The Golden Girls'. She now has a 'Golden Girls' privilege card that could be use in a number of airports around the world. As a mother, she was very very very strict, she has a different trait too, she is always prepared for anything. Everytime we traveled as a family, she would bring everything. Do you know the phrase 'a mother knows best?' that is definitely the case for her.

Me, Myself

I was given an early education by a government school. I was really a nerd back then. I'm talking full on glass, water bottle around my neck, school bags with wheel, short pants nerd (although it has decrease miraculously over the years, I still consider myself to be somewhat of a nerd). When I was fifteen, my dad sent me off to boarding school. Not Just any boarding school, a private boarding school. Not just any private boarding school, an international-private boarding school. CO-ED! So you could imagine the shock having free liberated boys and girls, RICH boys and girls with very little supervision, running around in school. Cultures from all over the world, RICH cultures from the world over smacked here in a massive compound right in the middle of nowhere. Fifteen, was the year that my life completely changed. it was 2002. Now I am a Muslim, but it was here in Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar (KTJ), in the year 2002, i smoked my first cigarette, taken my first ecstasy pill, puffed my first joint, and drank my first alcohol. My culture shock, went full over-drive. I was out of control.

Now ten years later, I just finished my studies, starting to embark on 'The Real World', and finding my way closer to Allah SWT. We can never really regret all of our live's decision. You never know where it may take you. "A man may meet his destiny, on the road to avoid it," was one of the Chinese proverbs that I had learned. I can't say now at 25, I see my future for all it's glory. I am just as blurry about the comings as anyone else, but sometimes if you are honest enough with yourself, the world will give you what you want. All I know now, is that: 1: I believe in Allah SWT the one and only God. 2: My heart has been broken so many times before, but it's okay, because that just means that I had loved so many times before. and 3: "A man must do everything that he can, until his destiny is revealed to him." -The Last Samurai-

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

A Fresh New Start

Alas, this is my second attempt at blogging. my first came when I was much younger, and it seemed that my spirit was to wild for blogging. Now that I am much older and more settled in my ways, I would like to give it another shot. So may Allah SWT the Almighty give me the strength and patients to say what i need to, and the endurance to continue. Amin.

In this blog, I would like to give my point of view, on well, just about anything. I believe in the notion that "no matter what people tell you, ideas and words can change the world." A quote from a character of the (not so hit) movie 'Dead Poets Society' John Keating (played by Robin Williams, one of my all time favorite actors). Though i had no idea what the movie was about then (because I was only 2 when it came out), I certainly have a deep understanding of what it is about now. Therefore, if an idea is talk about repeatedly with the proper words, to more and more audience, then we could change the world. It is only then up to the speaker to change it for the better, or worst.

I end now this 1st post with hope, hope that who ever so may read it, read it with an open heart, and an open mind, and forgive me because my spelling is some what terrible, and with a poem from 'Dead Poet Society' called 'Walden' written by Henry David Thoreau

I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately,
To front only the essential facts of life,
And see I could not learn what it had to teach,
and not,
when I came to die,
discovered that I had not lived.

SO IT BEGINS THIS JOURNEY OF WORDS!
