The Front-Line Warriors

Have you ever seen war movies or heard stories of epic battles between good and evil? Well in all fact, it does not matter between what and who. You see soldiers lining up in the front line waiting to charge against their enemy.

This post has nothing to do with anything, and I am not writing this in bid to ask you to go to war or even to fight anyone. I just write this as a tribute to those has stood in the front line of battles, be in any battle of any time and for any cause.

Imagine if you will what that warrior must have felt whilst standing there. Waiting for the order to charge, knowing deep down in their minds that they, might die here this very day. But they have no time to feel fear, for if they do, this very feeling that makes their body tremble, could be the death of them. So they bury their fear deep down inside, and prepare to fight.

To fight to survive, to fight to live, to fight for the right to walk out of this battle field as the victor and to fight for their cause. This brave humans standing, hoping, fearing and dealing with things that most of us will never get a chance to do, that most of us would never ever want to do.

Many soldiers fight, because it is their job to fight. They were trained to fight, but every once in a while you'll hear the story of normal citizen having to take up arms to defend their homes, families and everything they love against the evil of tyranny. These men are braver than those of a soldier, for they were not trained in the ways of battle, but they stood and fought anyway because they have to. To these men I solute their bravery and I will hope if this task is befallen to me one day, I will pray for courage to stand my grounds when the day of danger truly dawns.

The moment of battle
by Me

I stood in line against the evil of men,
I could see the enemy in front of me,
no mercy they shout, so none they will give,
Their eyes of anger ready to kill.

I stand in line with my people and my brothers,
We fear death, and we do not want to die,
but to do nothing against evil is worst than death,
I am no soldier, but a man but a poet.

But words could not defeat this enemy,
only strength and faith,
words could not save me from this tyranny,
only my strength and my faith.

I could feel my sweat drips down my neck,
I can feel my heart beats as fast as a drum,
I could feel my feet getting lighter,
I could feel the tension in the air.

I see my leader in front of me,
I could see, more soldiers behind me,
the only way out now,
is by death or victory.

Our leader raise his hand,
and we stand ready to run forward,
I could not contain this feeling,
Will I see my wife tonight?

Charge!

Happy Birthday Dear Sultan Pahang

Have you guys checked out the birthday celebration for Sultan of Pahang which was done in the UK? If you have not here is the clip.

Congratulations to the Sultan for his achievement of living for 81 years. May Allah SWT bless you with a longer life or may you live forever. I am somewhat disappointed by this celebration, but I can't say that I am surprise. What is it can I do, I am a mere peasant, and him a sultan. Our prophet Muhammad SAW said, never to oppose a leader, as long as he still pray or fast during Ramadhan (Our Prophet was talking on Muslim leaders leading Muslim countries).

I had written earlier in a subject that I had posted on the 16th of November 2012 about the purpose of our Kings and of the sultans. They are first the leader of our Islamic faith and second the symbol of our Malay race. Yet in the video of the celebration I had just shown you, he neglected his faith and his religion. And I will show you why (if you don't already know):

First the dressing. Have you seen an Indonesian king? He in any celebration private or public he would wear a full traditional uniform. Why? Because he is the king, the symbol of the Indonesian, and the figure of his people, so he would dress as his people would expect him to dress in Indonesian, a traditional one I might add. That is a nature of the king and also a Sultan, but not this sultan apparently, for he would prefer the western tuxedo, he wants to be like the English royal family, well bad news sir for you are not one of them.

Second his son, his only son speaks in a British accent. A long time ago in Turkey in the old days after the crusades about 1600s the Sultan went to a Greek city of Smyrna to negotiate a treaty between his kingdom and their city. He to show good will to the Greeks went there himself to negotiate. He sat there with the council to negotiate, and though he can speak Greek perfectly, he chose to use a translator. When asked why, he said that to these western people, I show them that my people and my race are not afraid to be ourselves. But of course not all of us could become as noble as this particular Sultan. Wait a Sultan means in Arabic noble, power and authority. Well I guess it does. Even though he is only a prince, he is still a Malay prince not a Britsh wine.

Thirdly, I guess I missed the part when the Islam banned drinking alcohol but it is alright if you're the Sultan. Wait, I remember now, there is none. So how could you be the leader of our faith when judging by the way your son was dancing (a bit tipsy) and the way it was going on I say your faith is moving towards another religion there chief. Of course I was not there, so i have no right to say anything on this matter. Maybe the were all dancing to a humpty dumpty song or playing some innocent game or something like that. Well you be the judge.

Fourthly, how could you as a Sultan throwing all that money around for a birthday in the UK (what's wrong with Kuantan or Cherating?), while your people in Pahang is still regarded as the poorest state in Malaysia. LYNAS have to give your state money to support them, and you are there in London (I think) dancing and lavishly burning your ka-chings away on a party. It does not matter whose money it is. It really don't it could be his money, it could be the government's (if it is, it is actually OUR's, the people!) but as the leader of the state you have to do all you can for your people. It is not right that the people should serve a leader, it is only right that a leader is to serve the people.

By which acts that I had just mentioned to you, by right it demotes him from the throne and the title of Sultan. But all Malaysian know that there would be no way in hell that this is going to happen. He is the SULTAN! For we should fear him, for we should respect him for we should bow in his presents. I am telling you now Malaysia GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS! This is only one Sultan and his party footage got leaked out, what to you the other eight of them do?

But I am only one writer, I could be that I will get arrested after clicking the 'publish' button on the top of this page. I need you, Malaysia. All of you the Malays, the Chinese, the Indians and the rest of us. To stand up together. They are the ones that divides us apart. They spend out hard earned salaries to but things that they don't need and go places where they should not really go to. The build a palace that looked more like a multipurpose hall. for RM 2,000,000,000 of our money. That money could be use to stabilized our economy, to give us a better future, or pay our national debt which is about RM 3,000,000,000,000 (a lot of zeros, I am a financial student). It could help feed the poor and the helpless, giving them better homes and etc. I could have been to tighten our defense as I was in the National Service and as what they had shown us of our national arsenal, we would barely survive an attack. The list is endless.

Open your eyes Malaysia, before it will be shut forever.
To end this post, I wrote a poem called 'Ampun Tuanku'

Ampun Tuanku

Ampun Tuanku, what are we going to eat?
Ampun Tuanku, where are we going to sleep?
Ampun Tuanku, we have no money left to give.
Ampun Tuanku, beribu-ribu ampun sembah patik harap diampun.

Ampun Tuanku, can you read me a prayer?
Ampun Tuanku, is the cushion in the mosque, comfortable enough?
Ampun Tuanku, here is your champagne.
Ampun Tuanku, beribu-ribu ampun sembah patik harap diampun.

Ampun Tuanku, but this is not right
Ampun Tuanku, you neglected us, our faith and our rights.
Ampun Tuanku, but my mother said I should just shut up,
Ampun Tuanku, for you are a king and I am nothing .
Ampun tuanku, beribu-ribu ampun, sembah patik harap diampun

Ampun Tuanku I am not afraid of you
Ampun Tuanku, I will always write the truth,
Ampun Tuanku, for I fear only God as should you.
Ampun Tuanku, pergi mohon keampunan dari Tuhanku.

P/s: Ampun Tuanku is what to be said before talking to the Sultan. It means, forgive me my lord. Beribu-ribu ampun means a thousand apologies. Tuhan is God (as the Malay word for God and lord of the sultan is very close and almost sounds the same)

And mother if you are reading this, I am not afraid, for as promise by Allah SWT, the truth will prevail.

Call to Arms

This a call to arms,
gather soldiers,
time to go to war,
this is a battle song,
brothers and sisters,
time to go to war.

That line was taken from a song called 'Vox Populi' by the bad 30 Seconds to Mars. Even though neither, Jared Letto nor his band is a Muslim (not that we know of), it fits perfectly to the point that I am trying to make in this post.

Recent days has bought terrible news to the world of Islam and those of the Muslim, that the Islamic country of Palestine had once again being siege and attack by the armed forces of the nation of Israel. The Israeli claimed that the purpose of such action, is based on their need to defend itself from the Abu Hamas' forces in Palestine. What's worst the world ate it up like a piece of chocolate cake but fail to taste the shit that contained in it.

It has forever been the objective, or the more dubious word 'agenda' of the Israel nation to eradicate the Muslim population surrounding the City of Jerusalem so that they could reclaim the former glory of the Jewish kingdom they had so many years ago. It was a period long before the time of Islam and of our Prophet Muhammad SAW.

What saddens me more about this situation, is that the Jewish nation of Israel take such action based solely in the belief of their religion. Although evil men are well evil, but it takes a lot of faith in you beliefs to be evil, and no matter how evil their acts could be, the Israeli are a stronger Jew compared to most Muslim being Islam.

We the Muslim people need to rally, in the name of Allah SWT and of Islam to fight against our enemies. We are not a violent people, and Islam only teaches us of peace, but If we are attack we must defend ourselves for there is a fine line between being peaceful and being a weakling. Islam only allows us to fight to defend ourselves and nothing more.

What kind of battle can we fight? What kind of battle can I, a blog writer from the suburbs of Malaysia, if the my government does not want to send troops? What can I do? Shall I stand still? No, a fight in itself has many forms. Other than physically fighting in the front line of the battlefield, we can pray. Fight for the Palestinians by praying for them, ask God to help them. Make them feel like they are not alone, help them in spirit if you cannot in physical.

Why should we fight? It is because we are the brothers of the Muslim in Palestine. Once a man has declared himself a Muslim, he has join in himself the family of Islam. When someone hurt your family, you too will feel this hurt. That is why as Muslims, seeing other Muslims in trouble we must do everything in our power to help them. How dare you buy a ticket to a concert, or a movie or an event as your Muslim brothers lye dead and starving and crying a world away.

Remember in the Quran (and as a Muslim we must believe in the Quran) in the Surah Al Nisa verse 75 which reads:
And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and for those who is weak, ill-treated and oppressed? Men, women and children, who cry: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, and the people who are oppressors;
And raise for us from Thee One who will protect; and raise for us from Thee One who will help.

Once their was a conversation between the youngsters of a Muslim and a Jew. The Muslim said to the Jew, "You know one day, the Muslims will come for the oppressors of the Jew and we will beat you and chase you out and you will run and hide. As you hide behind trees and stone, the trees and stones will shout out 'Behind me, lies a Jew in hiding." The Jew youngster replied, "I know of this story, for it is written in our books, but I am not worried, because those Islam that defeats us, is not of your generation. It is the generation of Muslims when their 'saf' of the fajr prayers is as many and as long as their 'Juma' prayers. See this is the point that i am trying to make, Allah SWT has already promise help for the oppressed Muslims yet, it is because of our lack of faith that is holding back the help from God.

Pray now my fellow Muslims and let us help our brothers and sisters who are suffering in Palestine.

I would like to end this post with a poem that I have read. It is actually from a lyric of a song, but what is a song but a poem sang in tune. It was written by a Palestinian, and I found it in a leaflet in front of the Quran class in Taman Tun. It is called 'The Letter' by  Dawud Wharnsby Ali

You don't know me,
but I am your brother in Islam,
You'll never know my name,
Never know exactly where I am,
but I am a part of you,
and you are a part of me too.
One life saved is like all mankind

Sometimes I wonder,
about the people in the world,
So much wealth,
so many fist so tightly curled,
enough for you, should be enough for two,
One life lost is like all mankind.

You don't see the look of hate in the soldiers' eyes,
you don't see my sister cry at night,
you don't smell the garbage in the street,
and you don't know how very little food we eat.

Not a thing belongs to you or me,
It's all a trust from Allah 's rich bounty
the tree of greed grows from a seed,
that's planted when we don't care.

Do you know how it feels to walk for days,
do you know how it feels to sleep in the snow,
do you know what it really means to pray,
can you tell me why they took my dad away?

I don't mean so seem bold or to seem rude,
I'm not begging for your shelter or your food,
I'm just asking for you to care, and be aware,
at the very least pray for me.

Peace be with you.

The Pen is Mightier Then the Sword

In this modern age of information, words that brings meaning to thoughts are now at the end of their era, and are facing extinction. People are now more interested in pictures for they say that a picture is worth a thousand words. The art of poetry and the skill of writing is decreasing. The skill of taking a picture is more rapidly increasing. For this I cry myself to sleep, for no picture could match the beauty of a word.

No matter what people say, I still believe that words and ideas could change the world, and I will dedicate my life to trudge on the symphony of a language, and dream that one day I would write stories of beauty, freedom, truth and love that conspires in this world, for this will be my gift to the world, and with hope I end this side not, or just a small post.

Assalamualaikum
Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku
(The Land Where My Bloods Spills)
Part 2: The Empty Throne

In the last post I've said that the article 153, was a crutch that would help the Malays to walk, after having their legs cut off. Was it the British that cut off our legs? Or was it someone else.

All this while in the history text books of both public and private schools in Malaysia, thought us that it was really them. The British, The Portuguese, The Dutch and The Japanese was at fault. Their invasion and occupation of the 'Malay Land', was the reason why the Malays are left stranded out of the train of progress. Although I think that was part of the factor, I do not however think that was the main reason.

For the blame of our demise in the pictures of history was at best the fault of our kings and sultans. It is them who unknowingly, pull back the rest of us. It has been hidden from the facts of all the children of Malaysia. I blame them for what happened to us, and it is them that distorted the growth on my country and my beloved countrymen.

The first incident came when during the invasion of the Portuguese, that Sultan Mahmud Shah of the great Malacca Empire, fled the city, leaving his advisers to defend it, even his wife Tun Fatimah, lead part of the army to battle, but he himself fled to Johor. What coward of a leader. Then he later added insult to injury, as it was him who called on the Dutch to help him regain the City of Malacca.

When the British came many years later, they were only trading in Malaya, they had no real intentions of ever invading it. However the civil war that broke among the land, was bad for their business. Again it was the failure to apprehend this civil war which allow the British (under East India Trading Company) a way in our country. Looking for an easy way out of crushing the wars, the Sultan of Perak and Selangor called upon the help of the British in return for control of trade and port of their region. Why do we look up to these idiots.

In the state of Kedah, there was a power struggle with the nearby kingdom of Siam (now Thailand). The keep the Thai at bay, the Sultan of Kedah struck a deal with the British commander 'Sir Francis Light'. Sir Francis Light would supply the arms and means to defend against the Siamese, whilst in return, he would be able to take on a lease for the island of Pinang, for an amount equivalent to RM 10,000 today, paid to the Sultan personally and not the State of Kedah. He would also add on the contract that this deal will last as long there is the sun, the moon and stars in the skies (which means forever).

All Sultans of all the Federation states of Malays would then accept British residents in their court, which mitigate their power. This soon led to the installation of Governors of British in each state, signalling the official control of the British Empire on Malaya. All this not only the cunning plan of the westerners, but it was the leadership failure that made this possible.

Also in the text books they made out that the Johor sultanate was some what of a hero, for refusing the British rule, they were for a while, but then invasion comes in all kinds of form. For their bravery, the queen of England offered them her friendship. Being cocky (till now they are proud of this), they let up. First to the Chinese who came here to do business. He sold the mines, the tin mines that belonged to the people, to the Chinese, this was the huge source of wealth to the Malaysian Chinese (for the main source is that of their own skills, even as a Malay, I have to admit and respect this). They sold it for their personal gain, for the income like in Kedah goes to the Sultan and not the state of Johor. Then comes the biggest blunder in the history of Malaya, because of their friendship with England, they thought it would be best to sell to them, the island of Singapore. Imagine if you would if we still had Singapore or economy would be for better off then what it is today. (Both proceeds goes to build the KPJ group in Malaysia)

The conclusion that I am trying to make is that we should change the structure of this country and throw out these so called kings and sultans, for they are nothing but a burden to Malaysia, it's people and it's economy. They burn through our taxes, like a fire burn through hair. For example the new palace that took RM 2 Billion to build, it sure does not look like RM 2 Billion, in fact I would not say a cent over RM 24 Million. Then again who is to question them, it's their right.

The Main purpose of the Kings and Sultan, is to uphold our religious rights and act as the symbol of the Malay superiority, however that is a load of crap. I attended Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar, a prestigious private schools for rich ass brats, and I met a couple of the Sultan's kings. These people are suppose to be the symbol of Malays right, well to my surprise, none of them could even understand the Malays language, therefore how are they to act as our symbol. As for the religious part, I think they represent more of the Christians then the Muslims, by the manner of their behavior of the wild life. All of us know their stories.

How can these people stand for us, when all they do is stand for their own. I stand by what I said, they should be dismantled for the better of my beloved Malaysia.

I have composed a poem to help me put this post to a close.

The King is Dead

As I lay down my sights,
to the embodiment of my land,
They told me that God had sent,
us Kings to lead us to glory,
and save us from the struggling of poverty,

For a shock flow through me,
like a lightning struck,
for all that was true,
are now just lies,

For I discovered now,
that the kings from God,
had long since died,
and what remains are just,
imposters on the throne,
with their devil's eyes.

With that Assalamualaikum.

Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku
(The Land Where My Bloods Spills)
Part 1: Article 153

Malaysia is the name of my country. We are a peaceful and unified country. This land was the territory of a race of my ancestors called the 'Malay'. Thus all names that has been associated with this country, has the word 'Malay' in it. We are a tropical country located along the equator line. The foreigners of the west loves to come here. Not just because of our weather, but also because that this country of Malaysia, is rich in history, our political stability is the best in South East Asia, and our currency is cheap. How ever the main reason I think is because of the peacefulness of our country.

How ever as a Malaysian, I believe their is something that is not right with this country. Corruptions are high, the economy is not doing so good, but we are led to believe that it is on the up and up. The racial harmony, no matter how well we get along according to the government, there is still a big barrier in between the races. Public service is one of the worst I've seen in any country, yet we are paying a bomb on taxes. The media are one-sided, and we have a Prime Minister's wife who think she's the empress. One minute, we see and empty space the next, blocks and blocks of building are being built. The cost of living has increased, yet the average salary has been the same for the last 15 years. Crime has hit the charts up high. I remember when you could bet that nothing bad could happen, but now before you walk to your car, please look over both shoulders so that no one is following you. Now, I'm no expert but even I can smell the foul air that has been developing over here in Malaysia.

We are living in an age of reform, and it is imperative for us to remove that which destroys our nation. For the main problem is the corruption that looms large in our society. I admit corruption is a problem worldwide, but it's visibility level in the nation is at a very bad rate, then something most be done. However I have not yet come across a solution to this matter (other the gather all and shoot them).

There are two things however I would like to impress on. In order for this country and her people to progress, 2 main reform must take place. One is that the dismantlement of the Malay 'Special Position' as on the constitution (article 153), also demolish the King and Sultans of Malaysia.

Malay 'Special Position' Article 153 of the Constitution

When the British administration left the Malay Federation in 1957, they left the country in the ethnic diversity that they had created which divided the three main race of Malaysia (Malay, Chinese, and Indian) by the way of their purpose for their administration. As a result, the Malays who were given a mediocre status by the British, was at a disadvantage at that time. Through the 'Reid Commission' the article which will be known as article 153 was drafted to preserve the rights of the Malays, indigenous people of Sabah and Sarawak, and the Aborigine people of Malaysia. Although it was drafted in 1957, only in the 1980s that the more affirmative action was taken to put this article in effect, as a result of the 1970 economic reform.

This as a result got many Malays up on their feet so that they too could prosper in their own country. It is not just that, all Malay companies and corporation was given an advantage, by this article 153 to ensure that success is available. This article act as a crutch for the Malays who legs were cut off, by whom? The British, well not really but I'll get to that some other time.

Now it is the year 2012, and the 'special position' article 153, is still in effect. They always would say that 'too much of something good is bad.' Well that is right. The Malays has become dependent on this article. They have become lazy and ignorant to the fact that this article is what is holding them back rather then pushing them forward. In all views of the Malay race has become complacent in our struggle in our place in this world. I would also like to point out (and I would probably get arrested if they read my blog, because to question the article 153, is to commit national disturbance), that even with this extra advantage, with this boost or leg up by the constitution, the Malays are still behind. That is just how bad this 'special position' is. "We Malays are minorities to the Chinese in our own country," is my argument in this matter.

Also because of their comfort that has be indulge by this article 153, the Malays are blind to the fact that the Chinese and Indians who are Malaysian, are denied certain right. They suffered because of our laziness. This is wrong, even in Islam this is wrong. Even the Prophet Muhammad SAW did not deny the equality of the non-Muslims in Madina when he ruled there, and who are we to deny the rights of our brothers and sisters of Malaysia. This would be the main factor that we must abandon this article 153.

The people who are protected by the article 153 are 'Bumiputera' which mean 'Children of the land'. If we follow by the literal meaning of 'Bumiputera', by that definition, the Chinese and Indians too should by right enjoy this privilege. Sure in 1957 not all Indians and Chinese are born here, but now that is not relevant, for all of my Malaysian friends, be they Malay, Chinese or Indians are born here, and their parents were born here, and their grandparents. Therefore they are 'Bumiputera'. As for national Icon, people like Dato Lee Chong Wei, Dato Nicol Ann Davis, Dato Michelle Yeoh and Dato K. Rajagopal, who we all celebrate at a Malaysians are not given rights as a 'Bumiputera', yet they rose to the occasion to carry our nation flags and name among the world's greatest. Yet we isolate them with our article 153.

The Malays need to take a 'leap of faith', and throw away our 'special position' not just because it would be fair to the other races, but also it is the actual reason that holds us back from our achievements. It dampens our senses and made us slower, weaker and above all lazier and more complacent.

When You Open Up Your Mouth to Speak,
Could You be a Little Weak

If we look closely in this world, there are many things that would be evident to the existence of God. The science of nature for example, how the rain works. It is a matter of science which can explain how the rain works but it take a divine power to actually make it work. The beauty of nature which only God, have the power to mold such things into order. The life that walks through this world. No science could create such things as a living organism. How can you say there is no God, when no human can create life form? We do have a creator.

Although many creations of God enhance my believe in the one God Allah SWT, I can tell you know that His greatest creation of all would in fact be women. Masyaallah, they are the best thing that He had ever created. When I see human of the female gender, I'd say "Allah Maha Besar" (God Almighty). No man, no science or no knowledge could create such a creature.

A women is the most important being in this earth and no one can deny. This world might be dominant by man, as some would say, but be that as it may, it is the women that sets man in motion. All man strive for success, and they do so to get women. If there is no women in the lives of men, there will be no need for us to strive in life.

A women is soft and sweet on the outside, though they are tough as iron on the inside. In a world of the survival of the fittest, they survived even though they might not be the fittest. They are able to absorb all kinds of pain inside them and they would never show it to the world. When they finally shed a tear, no one knows that she did. They are far superior to man in ways that no man could imagine.

Every female is special in their own way. There is none that are not capable of this great feat. Their beauty are not skin deep, for every women, hold a strength that we have no idea how much. Their sadness is much more sorrowful, their happiness is more joyful, their hope is much more stable, their anger is more wrathful then that of their male counter part.

Have you ever see a girl crying over the trouble of others, why? It is because ( I think), that they when you tell a sad news to a guy, he can understand it, but from an outside point a view. A guy would sympathize with the bad news but a girl, she empathize with it. She feels it as if it had happened to her. Masyaallah.. what greatness of their ability.

That's why, when you are intrusted with a girl, as a lover, a brother, as son or a father, it would be the greatest honor that will ever be bestowed on to you. It is an 'amanah' (trust) that is given to you by God, Himself, and you must care not to break His trust, by breaking their hearts.

I as a single boy, can only look to my mother as an example. She is the greatest women I know. I know she nags a lot, but despite all the wrong doings that I have done, her spirit never breaks. She is always prepared. She give hope to my father to carry on leading my family. She bore me and siblings. Which in turn who bore my nephews and nieces. From the eyes of my mother I came to understand as best as I could (for guy would never understand this, it's in our nature) the strength of a women.

I am a man, I am not gay nor anything. I write this post because most men, do undermine the greatness of a women, and even though I could never understand them, and sometimes get angry at their logic, but I do in fact appreciate this greatest creation of God, and I urge all men, to treat women with respect and honor, and know that by breaking a girls heart, you have broken the trust of God. For no more beauty can be found anywhere else, then that of a women.

I would like to end this post with a poem, by Teresa Mahieu from Kansas, USA she wrote a piece called 'A Women's Beauty'

The beauty of a woman
Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
Or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
The place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows!

The Scene of A Lifetime

Okay, I admit, watching too much movies is not good for you, but I do in fact very much differ from this point of view. The silver screen rarely, influence us about anything that is nice, nor is their true story is actually 100% true. However, they do bring a good message inside with them, and if you look close enough, you will see, and your heart will feel, and your brain will wonder, if such things that they have come to show us, could it be real, or just fiction. I mean for some instance, when facing grave danger, or over coming high obstacle, could humans, blessed with only the human spirit, and the strength of their back, be capable of such feat.

I bring you now my ten favorite scenes from movies.

10. Men In Black III: The part when J and young K said goodbye in the lift

This is the part when Agent J (from the future), and Agent K (the young one) was riding on the lift heading towards the top of the rocket to plant the 'Arc Net' at the top of the rocket. When they were saying their goodbye to each other, Agent K said, "I can see why I recruited you, you're a good man." Agent J replied, "What the hell happened to you man?" I like this part. Because it showed me that no matter how much we know a person now, it is in their past is what makes him what he is today, and if I would like to know someone, I would have to know their history. You see, it's easy to judge someone by looking at them and say, if someone is crazy, strict or annoying, but it is because of how their lives had been, that makes them to be now. This scene teaches me to never judge someone, by what they are today, for you'd always need to take a deeper look.

9. KL Gengster: The part where Malik refuses to kill Jai

I would like to emphasize that this story is a gengster story in the streets of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of my beloved country. For that very reason I do not approve of this movie and though I do not know the aim of this film makers to the audience, but I persist that the outcome is not of a positive nature. It promotes western style violence among my peaceful people for which is the source of my disapproval. I however do try to find the positive in the bad, and in this case I have found one. At the end battle between the two gangs, Malik is faced of with Jai, in a heated fist fight, but Malik being the better fighter won, Jai however would not give up even though he has lost, for he will only retire in death, but because of their blood ties, Malik refuses to kill Jai. We could say that this movie brings in it violence, but I believe that the blood ties of a family is stronger then any other ties men among men. Even though coming from different groups of enemies, a brother could never kill each other, and that I believe Malik had showed us in this scene. For a bindings of family trumps all bonds

8. Accepted: Bartleby's speech welcoming students to his fake college

This scene is when B (they refer him as B in the movie), realized that his secret and fake college that had build to lie to his dad is now no longer secret, but still very much fake when a large number of applicant was accepted into it. He gathered everyone in the main hall to announce that this college is nothing more then a fake. However when B realized that all of them were rejects just like himself, he changed his mind, and allow them to stay (even though they still think it is a real college). The speech that he gave was short but it was one of the most inspirational I've ever heard, especially the part when he said, "We say YES to your flaws." This scene is one of my favorite, because I always wondered what made him changed his mind? In the end i knew that when you see a person who suffers as you do, you'd do anything to help them. See human connections are always made strong by the similar of our qualities. It is when we realize that how much we are alike with each other do we feel for one another, and I think that is what B felt, when he accepted them in his 'college'.

7. V for Vendetta: The part when the crowd with masks, walked through the soldier barricade

When V said on live television that he will blow up the parliament building one year from the 5th of November, he asked that all those who feel that there is "something wrong with this country," as he put it to join him to gather at the parliament building (in one years time). The government for which V fought had set up a barricade for which the soldiers were ordered to shoot anyone who approaches. As the night progressed, the number of crowd was overwhelming, and the soldiers did not know what to do. The general has ordered his tropps to stand down, and let the crowd through. As the scenery of the mob moving through the barricade, made me cry every time. This is the true nature of the relationship between government and it's people. For the people must never be afraid of their government, especially the crooked ones (why would you want to bring down a good government). Anyways, what i am trying to say is this, if the people, all of us moves as one, no authority, can stop us.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End: The part when Will Stabbed the Heart

Jack Sparrow had just got back from the land of the dead (Davvy Jones' Locker), and he has no desire to make a return trip anytime soon. Therefore he had devised a plan that would allow him to live forever. He would stab, the heart of Davvy Jones and replace him as captain of the 'Flying Dutchmen' forever. However when the moment came, Davvy Jones struck a sword through the heart of Will Turner who was only recently married. Out of pure friendship and the will to let Will spend time with his wife, Jack took Will's hand and stabbed the heart with it and Will received the eternal life instead of Captain Sparrow. I find this very heart warming because, Jack Sparrow is indeed a pirate. A pirate is someone or the people who takes what does not belong to them for their own benefit, so if you look at it at that point of view, the action of Jack Sparrow is saintly in the most meaning of it's word. For I wonder how many of us 'normal' civilized people would sacrifice something that they craved the most to help a friend. Jack Sparrow although a pirate, knows the value of a friend, and for someone so heartless to have make such a motion is human being at it's best.

5. Oceans Thirteen: The part where they have three minutes to win $500 mil

The Oceans Thirteen is the last of the Oceans installation so far. This time they are trying to make the casino lose 500 million dollars so that it will make a loss and close down at the end of the quarter. This plot is for revenge towards the casino owner for cheating one of them. In this particular scene, everything has already set up, and with the security down, they have three minutes not to win $ 500,000,000 but to make the casino lose that amount of money. Okay, if you look at it, it's about stealing and vengeance. These two actions does not really top the list of virtues, but I like this scene because it is a result of teamwork and planing. This relates to people working in a team. If you work in a team, to have teamwork is important, sure you have your own set of skills, but that what makes it work, people covering each others flaws with their own ability. The end result is that you would in turn enjoy the result, and even grow to like each other. A human individual, can never be perfect, but if they try hard enough and work together, a team can.

4. The King's Speech: King George's Speech at the End

This is a story is about King George who overcame is stammer during his reign as the King of the United Kingdom. He had to dig deep and hard in himself with the help of a speech expert Lionel Logue. He had then to give a speech to inspire his people during the times of the coming of the Second World War. He did so in his speech. This is fascinating to me because it showed me among all things that even a king may face the problem of a normal man, for he is also a human. Also even though he is just a figure in the authority of power, his word is it is strong, may inspire a whole nation. Not just to sit and drink alcohol and use up the people's tax money (like some countries). Hard work and persistence insyaallah will bring you good result or at least one that would satisfy you.

3. The Campaign: When Cam Brady Resigned from the Election.

This is relatively new movie. It's a comedy about a political campaign in the US. When Cam Brady won the election, because of backing of profiteer, he went up to give his victory speech but instead he got up there and told everyone of the truth. With that he resigned his vote and congratulate the new congressman. This is another heart felt moment. Again I ask how many man of power would ever do such a thing in the name of all that is true and right in this world? Not many I suppose. When you have power it is hard to let go of it, and you would sort to anything just to keep it. I believe that is a leader is wrong, he will do more wrong to just continue his reign. There is much more honor from resigning and letting someone who can do the job take over, then to continue. I wish one day I could see such a man, for even if he had wrong I will cheer for his action.

2. Lord of the Rings, Return of the King: When Aragon and the Human Race Kneel Before the Hobbits

When Sauron and Mordor had fell, the people of Middle-Earth rejoice in victory. Also they came together to celebrate the coronation of Arogon as the King of Gondor. As he walked among all his people and also his friends, they bowed to him to show their alliance to his throne, then he came across the four hobbits (Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pip). They to bowed to him, but Aragon, who is still in awe of their feat, stopped them and said, "My friends, you bow to no one." then he proceed to kneel to the hobbits and so did everyone who was present. I love this scene for this showed me that the size and looks of a person is not what brings them respect, but his actions do. A man of small stature may also earn respects from a king, for a deed that exceeds his own ability.

1. The Hunger Games: When Katness buried Rue

So this movie is about pitting young people from the outer district that is controlled by the 'Capitol City' against each other, to ensure hope on the districts that they own. This is one of the ways the districts are controlled. However out of all this madness and chaos of killing each other, Katness from district 12 and Rue from 11 had formed a friendship. In a fight, Rue was killed, and Katness was distraught for she is now on her own again. She will not leave Rue's body there like that so she took the time to gave her a burial. This scene tell us of one of the most important thing of all, that even when enemies are forced to be made, you can always find a friend in the most unexpected place ever. In this arena made for killing Katness took the time, to bury her friend for that is the only thing that she can do now, to show her love an appreciation towards Rue. We never know when even if it might kill us, we must always find time to preform kindness.

So that is how it goes, ten of my favorite scenes from a movie and what the message that it gave me. So next time when you watch a movie, don't just watch it for the movies and what the main plot brings, try to find some hidden goodness that is in it, and I tell you that is the true purpose of the cinema, to inspire others.

With that I bid you Assalamuaalaikum.

Heart Break

How is it, do you pick up the pieces of your broken heart? How do you mend a wound that catastrophic effect on you. Leaving you utterly broken inside. Even though no one can see, touch taste emotion, we all know it's there. It's a part of who we are. Like other parts of our body, emotions too can be hurt, but likewise it does not have a medicine to cure it. There is no substance in this world known to man that could heal a damage on your emotion which we refer to as 'heartbreak'.

Sure there are experts or psychologist. I did make an effort to search for their thoughts on the internet, and I found quite a few. The world famous Dr. Phil for an example, wrote in his website, a bunch of crap. You can check it out if you want: ( http://www.drphil.com/articles/article/172 ). The closest one that I am fond of is the article by www.wikihow.com. They say that to let go of someone it takes 5 steps, but no matter how I like the article and it's informative nature, it did not work for me.

"I'm still stuck with this broad." as any mafioso, goomba, would put it. Why? I keep asking why is it so hard to let go? Maybe it comes to something like expelling ghost or spirit that haunts you, I know it ridiculous, but hear me out, you can not let her go, because there is something that you did not do, or did not say to her (or him if you're a girl) that you really wanted to, that you know you should have, but you did not, maybe because there was no time, because she was not in the mood. Or even you did or you have not hear what she has to say about it, because you got so MAD! So you deleted her, completely shut her out!

Well maybe, and it could be. So now that you know what it is that you want that piece of something that was not finish, between you and her, complete it, and whatever happens be at piece and I assure, you things will get better.

Any how, I've searched through out the internet, and have read a lot of books and I can tell you based on my experience, that there is no quick way to mend a broken heart, nothing but time. You can try to find a rebound or go party get drunk or occupy yourself with work to take your mind out of this things, but in the end the true cure for this sickness of the heart is time, and faith in God (for me Allah SWT).

When I lost my love, I did not had a chance to say a proper goodbye. It all happened so fast, so I didn't have a chance to. I don't regret the decision, but I'd just would like it if things ended better, I've had written something that night that I really wanted to say to her but, well I did not get a chance to. So here on my blog. A public reading space, which everyone could read is what I would have said to her.

This is the end

Abolqaz Bin Anuar

I will never forget how I made you laugh,
or even how I made you cry,
not the lips of you gorgeous smile,
nor the killer looks in your eyes,

I really meant it when I said I love you,
I have kept it in for as long as I could,
for I fear those words,
would made me lose you,
It did in the end though it should,

I'm sorry I had to cut you out,
but the poison has to be drawn from a wound,
My only regret is that in the end,
I'd never know what you'd have said,

I look forward to your happy ending,
when everything has been said and done,
though my heart would hurt,
I'll fake a smile and whisper live happy and free my friend,

So this is the end, of our time together,
we can no longer play in a part for each other,
this is only natural for a human cycle,
for nothing can last forever.

P/S: so that no one is confused this poem (if you can call that a poem) is for a girl named Intan Maisarah. Do not want to be misleading people.
Monkeys Wrapped in Clothing

Motivation, is the reason why we all wake up in the morning. That driving force each and every person, needs to live everyday. Ever seen a beaten person, a person that has his motivation taken from him, though his body is still intact and well in being, but it's still takes that person a great deal of strength to stand up, and thus he will not be able to do so. Therefore i can safely say that a person's inner will and motivation, exceeds their capacity of their physical and muscle strength.

So my question to you is this, have you ever thought of the motivation that moves you everyday? If you have, what is it? If you do not know your motivation, why do you still get up in the morning? I'll tell you why. It's because we are working toward getting ourselves towards a higher level of where we think we are now in our lives. Everyday we slave ourselves to the system, and why? Simple, the answer being is that we are all approval 'junkies'.

Just like the drug 'junkies', we are all addicted to it, and what's more is that we all are not aware of our addiction. Hell we do not even know what it is. Let me tell you what it is. We all work to be recognize, to find our place in this world. To be loved, we work hard so that when people see us, you want them to fear you, or revere you it doesn't matter, which one, but just think that you're special.

I do not believe in evolution, but human being are nothing more then monkeys wrapped in clothing just looking for approval from others.

Why I ask you brothers and sisters that we work hard day in an out, devoting countless hour trying to impress humans. Even those who are impress I ask you, does the 'Ferrari' that he drives gets him to places where your Myvi can not? Is it cooler, that they spend their whole weekend in the club or being hung over from the club, party after party? Are they kinder or a better person because of the thickness of his wallet, or the cleaness of their clothes, the buffness of their body?

I ask now to those who thinks themselves as the center of attention, are you tired? Tired of keeping up with the charades? Happy that people think so highly of you that you would do anything to stay up there? Don't you feel giddy of the air up there on your pedestal?

Why get all worked up to impress humans? Work to impress God. Why do we awe those with power, status, wealth and looks? Be awe with God for He is the ALMIGHTY! The Great and ONLY God.

I always end my post with a poem or some sort by the work of others. This time however I would like to post my own. If it not very good, well I don't really care.

Here it goes:

I stood upon men,
who claim themselves to be the masters of the world,
and I saw in their eyes,
 hope, sadness, anger, and fear.
I knew this for I see it everyday
 in the mirror.
Thus I realized that be they masters or servant,
lords or subjects, the wealthy and the poor,
that we are all the same.

1. The Hijra: The Migration of Our Prophet Muhammad SAW to Madina
(622)

It was the year 622 of the western calender, Our prophet Muhammad SAW, had secretly been teaching Islam to the people of Mecca for many years now, but everyday, the 'Quraisy' people of Mecca, is plotting against Rasulullah SAW.

One day, came a few people from a town called 'Yathrib'. They are made of the tribe of 'Aus' and of 'Khazraj'. Both tribes lived there in Yathrib, and they are at war with each other long since they could remember. They have met Rasulullah before. The Rasulullah SAW's teaching had been heard of in Yathrib, and men from both tribe has come to Mecca to seek The Prophet for help.

The Prophet, then teach them the religion of Islam, and they had embraced it. Rasulullah SAW also told them that Islam, would be the key for peace, between the two tribes. Then, the Yathrib men, invited Rasulullah SAW to migrate with them to Yathrib, and they will gladly accept the Prophet, as their leader.

Our Prophet, agreed, but Rasulullah SAW said, they cannot all go at once, for they would be stopped by the Quraisy, so Rasulullah SAW, asked that the Muslims in Mecca, leave by stages. Many did starting that night, and the coming days.

On the eve, of the day where Rasulullah SAW Himself, is leaving to Yathrib, the Quraisy, is plotting an assassination against, Our Prophet. They send men to surround the Prophet's house, and kills Him in His sleep. So they waited, this might seemed the end of our Prophet, but surely not because Muhammad SAW is a messenger of Allah SWT, the Almighty. A miracle happen, the assassins, whilst waiting for the Prophet to sleep, fell asleep themselves, and Muhammad SAW slipped out unnoticed.

When the assassins woke up, to there surprise, the sun has draw it's daylight. They rushed in the house of Rasulullah SAW, an saw someone was still sleeping on His bed. It was Ali Bin Abi Talib (Prophet Muhammad SAW's cousin), and not Muhammad SAW. News broke out to the Quraisy leaders that Muhammad SAW is on His way to Yathrib. It is very important for them to stop Muhammad SAW from reaching Yathrib, because if He arrives in Yathrib, it would be harder for them to stop Him and the spread of Islam. So the Quraisy leaders put up a bounty, to whoever could, stop Muhammad SAW from reaching Yathrib, and bring Him back to Mecca.

Muhammad SAW, and his, Abu Bakar As Siddiq companion traveled to Yathrib, carefully, covering their tracks so that it would be harder for the Quraisy to find them. They traveled at night and rest by day (That is what Rasulullah SAW always said to the people that he sent out on missions). There are many stories that is known from our Prophet's journey, but the most one that all Muslims might remember is this one.

When Muhammad SAW and Abu Bakar was resting in a cave in the hills of Tsaur, the men that was sent by the Quraisy, came to the hill. When the approached the hill, they are inspecting that hill, to see if Muhammad SAW, is in there. Allah SWT, protects his messenger. He sent a spider, to spin it's web in front of the cave. When the Quraisy men stands infront of the cave, one of them said, "Muhammad couldn't have been here, the web is untouched." So they went of to a different direction. Muhammad SAW and Abu Bakar then made their way saftely to Yathrib, which Rasulullah SAW changed it's name to Madina.

Like I said, there are more stories about this journey, but if you would like to know more you could contact you and I will tell you personally when I have the time.

The Islamic calender began because of this event. The hijra. So on this month of Safar on year 1 of Islamic calender, the 'hijra' or the great migration happened. What is the significant of this event for Islam. For one thing all the oppression that the Muslims had suffered in the hands of the Quraisy people, no longer occurs. When they were in Mecca at that time, they were being oppressed, and treated badly just for being Muslims. Now they have a place that they could worship Allah SWT the One God without being beaten up or abused.

Second, with mass convertion of the people of Yathrib, Madina was born in which is the first ever Muslim state the world has ever known. A place where Muslims at during the time around 622 AD could call home. However the 'Hijra' does bring to us another lesson. The 'hijra' is not just a matter of moving from one place to another, but also moving from one state of life to a better state of life. Sure all the people who migrated from Mecca to Madina at that time, losses all of their wealth and family and riches, fame and even for some title, but for them being a part of the first nation of Islam is something that is better to them. People like Abu Bakar As Siddiq, Umar al-Khattab and Abdul Rahman Bin Auf, who are all the very riches of men in Mecca left everything behind to be with God, and His Prophet.

The amount of faith that it took to make that move is unmeasurable, but they did it for something that is much better. So it means the lesson teaches us that 'Hijra' is not based on living condition but a 'hijra' is of the soul. You must always strive to be better then before. In soul. Be a better person then before. If you are a bad person, make the 'hijra' to be a good person, and if you are a good person, make the 'hijra' to be an even better person. We must commit the 'Hijra' everyday.

When the people of Madina (and those who was from Mecca who had already arrived) saw the Prophet Muhammad SAW in front of the gates of the city, they celebrated that Rasulullah SAW had arrived in Madina. They began to sang a 'nasheed' that was one of the most beautiful. This nasheed is the longest nasheed ever recorded in the history of Islam.

Just hear this Nasheed, it is lovely
